Happy Hump Day!
The weather this past week in Charlotte has been so off… cold, rainy, and dreary one day and then warm and sunny the next. I’m thankful that it was a beautiful day outside today minus the fact that now I’m sitting in my sweltering living room. One day I’m debating turning on the heat and the next day I’m wondering if I should turn on the AC. First world problems.
Earlier this year we purchased the country music mega ticket and this past weekend marked the beginning of the summer concerts. I love going to country concerts at the amphitheater because it’s the perfect time to let loose, have a drink and enjoy being outside. If you ever go to a concert at the Verizon Wireless amphitheater then a word of advice would be to always buy tickets in an actual seat… the lawn looks a little scary.
This past weekend we saw Tim McGraw in concert. This was also the same day that we spent all day at a golf tournament so we were completely exhausted. That is nothing that an $11 beer won’t fix, though :)
Love and Theft opened the show. I’m honestly not a huge fan of their music but oh well.
Tim McGraw was really good. He sang most of his popular songs and all of the songs he has released off of his new album. His jeans were also s.o.t.i.g.h.t. I have no idea how he peels them off of him at the end of the night.
Something funny about the mega ticket is that you have the same seats all summer, so you get to know your ‘neighbors’. This is always an interesting experience. Thankfully the people sitting beside us seemed pretty cool this time.
