Sorry for the combination post… I was too tired last night to update!
Days 3 & 4 of orientation are over and I now know the ins and outs of what I will be doing for the next 6+ months. We spent the last two days going over the nutrition care process, case studies, professionalism, the RD exam, etc. Very informative!
My group presented our group project on “power” and it went really well! I’m so thankful it’s over because I was pretty nervous. We saw 10 group projects during orientation and I enjoyed all of them.
Here’s a snapshot of another group’s project. I can’t remember their exact topic but it had to do with teamwork/communication. We had a bag full of materials and our team had to make a free standing bridge using them.
I did not contribute much to the bridge structure…. but I did put together a car to go across the bridge, which had nothing to do with the project. What does that say about my personality?? :)
We had a box lunch today, which I enjoyed outside in the beautiful weather. I wasn’t very hungry so I only ended up eating half of the wrap, the fruit cup and part of the potato chips. Have you ever had salt & vinegar sweet potato chips? Talk about an interesting combination of flavors.
We all said goodbye to each other this afternoon and went our separate ways. It was bittersweet saying goodbye to everyone and I’m happy to report that I had an uneventful flight back to Charlotte. And it’s 1am here so I’m ready to pass out. Goooooodnight.
