Hi everyone. I hope you’ve gotten your week off to a great start! I just made the most amazing dinner ever. I randomly bought some lamb chops at Harris Teeter and cooked them using this recipe. They were SO good. If I were to make them again, I probably wouldn’t make the sauce at all. The lamb chops were amazing just with the herbed rub. It got the husband stamp of approval.
I also found Norman hanging out in Kyle’s laundry, trying to send him a not-so-subliminal message.
A few exciting RD-related things have happened in the past few days. I posted on Friday about receiving an email that I can now register for the RD exam. I also received my verification in the mail today stating that I officially completed my dietetic internship.
These two things have motivated me to start studying for the exam. Part of me wants to just relax and enjoy the holidays but I don’t think I’m going to do myself any favors by taking an entire month off from studying. So here is my plan:
Re-take my internship program’s community, clinical and food service comprehensive exams to evaluate my strengths and weaknesses
Download all of my Inman CDs into my phone so I can have them with me *all the time*
Go through my RD in a Flash cards several times
Listen to the Inman Reviews during my commute to work
Spend 1-2 hours studying every night until I take the exam
I’ve also been reading through lots of other RD blogs to see how everyone else has studied. I feel pretty confident with my study tools and game plan. I also feel very confident about my nutrition knowledge and mainly plan to brush up on calculations, formulas and areas of weaknesses. With me luck with studying :)
