We have a rainy, low-key weekend here in the Queen City. I did a bunch of Christmas shopping Friday and Saturday and we went out to an early dinner this afternoon. I also spent a few hours this weekend updating my iTunes with music I’ve purchased on Amazon and random CDs I’ve gotten in the past year. But more importantly, I uploaded all of my Inman review CDs into iTunes and now I have them on my phone to take with me wherever I go :)

Some random stuff from this week…

My mom got me the cutest blanket for my birthday. She knows that I love owls. I ended up taking this blanket to work because my office is freezing and I really love it!

I made some oatmeal this past weekend with bananas & berries. Oatmeal packets kind of skeeve me out so I always make it from scratch. It is my favorite breakfast food but I only eat it when it’s cold outside.

I am also loving these Chobani flips when I need something quick to grab on my way to work. They have a lot of protein and keep me full until lunch. I buy a bunch when Harris Teeter has them on sale.

And of course, I’ve been enjoying the wine glasses that K gave me for my birthday. I have wanted stemless wine glasses for a while and I love the etching on these!

I’ve been going a little Sephora-crazy lately. I had a credit that I used to purchase some MUFE stuff and got several samples with it…

And I made a second purchase with a bday gift card this afternoon! Can’t wait til that package comes :)
In case you’re wondering about Lily, she had her 6-week follow-up with the vet this week. Things were initially going really well after surgery but lately she hasn’t been walking normally on her leg. You can tell she doesn’t put as much pressure on her surgery leg as she does her other leg and when she is standing at her food bowl, she picks up her surgery leg. We’ve started her on anti inflammatory meds every day again and  have been taking her on longer walks so she can get used to using her leg normally again. As much as I hate to admit this, I kind of wish we had just sucked it up and taken her to a dog physical therapist after her surgery. Hopefully we can get her back on the right track… she goes back to the vet again in 6 weeks.
Things coming up this week: my last week of work before Christmas break (yay school systems), finishing up some Christmas shopping, and getting ready for the holidays!
