I ran 2 miles. Without stopping.
After I got home from work, walked the dogs and grabbed a bite to eat with one of my friends, it was already a little past 8pm. I decided to go for a quick run on the greenway. When it’s getting ready to get dark, I’ve gotten in the routine of walking to the greenway (~0.4 miles) and running a mile once I’m there. Then I usually turn around and walk home.
Tonight when I turned around, I decided that I should keep running until I felt like I absolutely needed to stop and walk. I ran the entire mile back to the entrance to the greenway. Not only that, but I felt like I could have kept going. The only problem was that the entrance sits at the bottom of a huge hill, and there was no way I was going to try to run up that thing!!!
I also got to try out my new running shoes:
I’ve always run in Brooks Adrenalines and just upgrade to the newest model whenever my old ones feel worn out. They obviously worked out really well on my feet tonight!
I have =wanted to get into running but have never kept up a good routine to build up my endurance. I finally feel like I’m on the right track
This was so awesome to read! I am working on building my endurance. I so desire to become a runner. I think I can currently run outdoors for 3.5 seconds! Ha! This gives me hope :)

I think it gets easier the more you do it. If you had told me a month ago that I would be able to run 2 miles without stopping, I would not have believed you. Good luck!
