Heyyyyy, hope your Monday has gotten off to a great start.
Here’s how I did this week with my “325 miles” challenge:
Tuesday- Bike, 13.5 miles
Wednesday- Run 2.0 miles, Walk 1.06 miles
Saturday- Bike, 10.36 miles
Weekly Mileage = 26.92
total miles = 253.48
Overall I’m happy with my progress, although I have noticed that I generally bike more than run. My goal this week is to run more than once. Biking is always my default exercise when it’s getting late or the weather is questionable. I had actually planned to go on a run yesterday morning, but I nixed that idea when I woke up to rain.
Speaking of rain, we did not let the gloomy weather ruin our Sunday plans. We met part of the fam at Morgan Ridge Vineyards to celebrate my mom’s birthday.
Morgan Ridge is located near Salisbury, and it was about an hour drive from Charlotte. They had a little something for everyone with their beer and wine selections.
We had a few drinks, ate lunch together and walked around outside for a bit. Everyone enjoyed lunch and the food was delicious.
I had their special, which was a crab cake with mixed vegetables and risotto.
K got their beef brisket, which was served with a tortilla, rice and beans.
The area around the winery is beautiful I bet they host a lot of fun events out there!
I love going to new wineries and will definitely be back to Morgan Ridge. For any local people out there, I saw that they are having a BBQ cook-off on September 13th and it seemed like it would be a lot of fun!
