We have had an exciting weekend here in the QC.
I had the day off on Friday and I woke up bright and early to clean and run some errands. Then went to the 7th Street Public Market in uptown. I had never been before but I loved it! There are a bunch of local vendors and cool places to eat. It reminds me of the City Market Building in my hometown (Roanoke, VA). I ended up getting some peanut butter, jelly and spices from a local farmer.
I definitely want to go down there again sometime with K.
Then I went bike riding! I have narrowed down my road bike search to 2 bikes and decided to ride them back-to-back to help me make a final decision. I took one of them out for a spin on the greenway behind the bike store.
And I ended up taking the other one home for the night to take on a long test ride in my neighborhood.
I definitely didn’t want to return it!
The party really got started around here on Friday afternoon because K’s sister and her friend arrived for a weekend visit. They both go to UVA… but we love them anyway.
Shortly after they got here, we went and checked out the new Premium Outlets that just opened a few weeks ago. We have been holding off on going because it seemed like traffic and such was a little crazy, but it was actually pretty calm when we went.
I ended up getting a pair of running shorts and a new pair of sneaks for work. Now I kind of match K
We live pretty close to another outlet mall (Concord Mills) so I was interested to compare the two. I like that the Premium Outlets has Kate Spade, Under Armour, and Asics. The Cosmetic Company store is also 10x better than at CM (bigger, more brands, lots of eye shadow pallets!).
I liked the Premium Oulets better for the most part except that the food court isn’t open yet and there is no movie theater. Sometimes K and I like to go to CM and then see a movie. Oh, and also the obvious- the Premium Outlets are outside, so it wouldn’t be ideal to shop there on a rainy day. I’m glad we were able to check them out.
We spent most of yesterday at the whitewater center. It was a great day… and deserving of its own post, which is coming tomorrow

I’m wrapping up my 325 miles challenge and I am on track to meet my goal as long as something doesn’t happen in the next 2 weeks:
