Hey you guys! I’m off today and I am having such a lazy morning over here.
I rolled out of bed around 8am, walked the dogs and made some eggs for breakfast. I had some vegetables I needed to use up so I tossed them in as well.
1 egg + 3 egg whites + 1 tomato + 1 cup spinach + garlic + salt + cracked pepper
Sorry, not the most photogenic dish!
I really love eating eggs for breakfast (esp paired with a vegetable) because they fill me up without feeling too heavy.
So do you ever have a week where you feel completely frazzled? It has been that kind of week for me and I’m *so* glad it’s over! I have felt kind of “off” since Monday and then I missed my PT appointment on Wednesday. Well yesterday was really just icing on the cake…
I had to go to a nutrition session for work and it was held at Presbyterian Medical Center. This hospital is in Uptown (or maybe right beside Uptown?) and there was a TON of traffic. I missed the entrance to the parking garage 2 different times and it took me 30 minutes to finally be able to park. (Thankfully, I had given myself some nice buffer time in my schedule so I was still a little early but WHY IS EVERYONE DRIVING SO AGGRESSIVELY IN DOWNTOWN CHARLOTTE?!).
After that was over, I headed over near our dog groomer’s to wait for our dogs to be done with their haircuts. In an effort to kill time, I decided to treat myself to some Starbucks and shop a bit at Trader Joe’s. Well, I dropped my pumpkin spice latte on myself in Trader Joe’s and it made a huge mess in the floor. I was SO embarrassed. Like, mortified. The people working in TJ’s were so nice about it but I still wanted to curl up in a ball and disappear.
Thennnn I realized I had misplaced my debit card! I tore up my purse and car looking for it and I worried about it all evening. I just had it that morning when I got gas on my way to work. I was almost to the point of calling the bank to cancel it when I found it at about 9pm last night in my jacket pocket… the same jacket pocket I had already looked in earlier that day. Yep.
And then I drank a lot of wine.
And then I went to bed.
On a lighter note, Lily and Beamer wanted to show off their new fall hair styles but it turns out they’re a little camera shy.
He wouldn’t let me get a good picture of it, but Beamer got a Thomas the Train bandana and he’s kind of in love with it.
I love how the groomer coordinated Lily’s bows and bandana with her harness. She likes it when everything matches. Although I expect those bows to stay in her hair for about 10 more seconds before I find them in Beamer’s mouth.
Here’s what’s on the agenda this weekend:
– Helping a friend move tomorrow
– Meal planning… really need to do some meal prep this weekend to have some things ready to go for next week!
– Hopefully seeing a movie. Any recs? Gone Girl and The Judge both look really good! I also want to see Nightcrawler but it doesn’t come out until Oct 31
– Doing my physical therapy exercises every.single.day. <—I’m already slipping on this one!
– Cleaning. Things are a disaster around here. How much does a house cleaner cost???? Just kidding. Kinda.
Have a great weekend!!
