Hello there and happy Monday to you! It has been cold and rainy here the past few days. Some have not been too happy about it…
We had a fun-filled weekend with family, who got into town on Friday. We started the weekend by heading to one of our favorite pizza places, Hawthorne’s, for dinner.
We decided to all share 2 pizzas: meat lovers and ham/pineapple. There’s nothing better than pizza on a Friday night!
We went to Huntersville on Saturday and spent the day at Birkdale Village. We ate lunch at Bad Daddy’s, which is a really great burger place in the Charlotte area. I was full from pizza the night before and we had a bigger dinner planned, so I ended up getting the Stella’s Greek Salad. I should also mention that I’m in love with feta cheese!
After lunch, we went to the movies and saw Mockingjay: Part 1. I have read all of the books so I was excited to see this movie. It was good but I agree with some of the reviews that have said they could have made Mockingjay into one movie instead of splitting it into two parts.
We did a bit of shopping and I picked up the 4th Crossfire book… I’m a little embarrassed to admit that this series is my guilty pleasure! Can’t wait to crack this book open.
One not-so-great thing that happened this week was that my debit card # was stolen! I didn’t realize it until I got a call from my bank’s fraud department. There are a few small charges on my account that went through but thankfully the bank declined a $180 purchase at Foot Locker. It’s pretty obvious that this charge is fraudulent… if I’m going to spend $180 on anything then it’s going to be a handbag, not shoes
I’m off to work. Hope you have a great week!
What did you do this weekend?
Are you reading anything interesting?
That sucks about your bank card but luckily it got caught before too many charges were made! Feta cheese is the best! My roomate gags everytime I eat it because he thinks its disgusting, I can’t relate.
My husband and I had our credit card compromised a few months ago which was a pain because we had to go through the process of getting a new number (and changing that number with a lot of accounts it is connected to). Glad you were able to catch it quickly! I am currently trying to quickly re-read Mockingjay before going to see the movie!
