eShakti Dress Review

Back in February, my friends at eShakti contacted me and asked if I would be interested in reviewing one of their dresses from their website. This was just before my knee surgery so I didn’t respond right away, but ended up placing an order about a month later after I had recovered a little bit. I’m excited to share my thoughts on what I got!

eShakti is a clothing company that offers customized pieces in sizes 0 to 36. When placing an order, you have the option of ordering a standard size or paying an additional $7.50 for a bit of customization.

If you decide on the customization route, you can enter all of your measurements for a truly personalized fit.

There is also an option to select your sleeve type, dress length and neckline. In other words, you can basically create an item of clothing that is perfect for your body shape and style!

My first inclination when looking at their clothing items was to order a short, semi-formal party dress. They have so many fun pieces! But with just having had knee surgery, I decided to go with a long maxi dress instead. I knew I needed something casual that I could wear with flats or sandals as I recovered.

Something you should know about me is:

• I have no style
• I primarily only wear solid colors
• I mostly live in yoga pants

So having laid that all out there, I wanted to order something that was completely out of my comfort zone.

I ended up ordering this striped, 100% cotton maxi dress. The quality of the fabric is great and I love the fit. I decided not to do any customization because I liked the style of the dress as it was.

Like I said, I’m typically a solids girl but I really loved the pattern and color of this dress.

One problem I have when purchasing dresses, especially maxi dresses, is that they are too long or don’t sit well on my waist. I liked that I had to enter my height into the eShakti website so that that could create a piece that was the right length for me.

The ordering process was simple and I would definitely order from eShakti again!
