Loving: My Mizunos! I have faithfully worn my beloved Brookes Adrenalines for almost a decade but decided to switch it up after my knee surgery. I tested out a bunch of shoes in my local running store and the Mizunos felt the best. I was worried about the high back of the shoe rubbing on my heel but the employee in the store assured me that they are easy to break in. Iโve had them for several months and am happy to report that they are worn in and super comfy. Iโm actually looking into getting a pair for work since I canโt wear bright pink shoes (womp womp).
Watching: Do we really need to even go here? Shocker- Real Housewives! Iโm watching the OC and NYC shows right now. The OC is entertaining but my favorite is NYC (mostly because of Bethenny). Does anyone else think Carol is not as likeable this season? She used to be my fav NYC housewife but she seems kinda sketch this season.
Listening to: Shawn Mendezโ deluxe album. So I realize I am not a teenager anymore but *whatever*. I love this album. My favorite song is Imagination.
Reading: Nothing right now. Is that lame? I used to love sitting down with a book but Iโve been so busy these days that reading has taken the back burner to other things. I still have the entire Outlander series and the latest Nicholas Sparks book on my shelf. One dayโฆ
Focused on: Decorating my crib, aka the bachelorette pad. Iโm not doing anything crazy but I have looked at some new wall art. Also thinking about persuading my mom to make some window treatments for meโฆ
Wondering about: If I should continue to pursue starting my own nutrition counseling business. Itโs something Iโve really wanted to do and have taken the first few steps, but itโs so involved! It seems overwhelming.
Putting off: Doing my PT exercises. They are getting pretty old. I have started putting them off until right before I go to bed.
Missing: Beamer. He is living with his dad now but I do miss his little furry face.
Craving: Watermelon. All day. Every day. Something happens in the summer and I canโt get enough of this fruit. I buy a watermelon every Saturday at the farmerโs market and enjoy it throughout the week.
Anticipating: A visit from my friend, Allie! Sheโs coming down from VA for the weekendโฆ. we canโt decide if we want a low-key weekend or if we should, ahem, turn things up if ya know what I mean.
Enjoying: Athletic apparel. Between that and my scrubs for work, I basically donโt wear real clothes anymore. Sorry, not sorry.
Most recently: Eating cheese cubes on wheat thins. Possibly the best snack ever.

Have a fantastic weekend!
Cheese & crackers is always a good idea. I hope my job as a dietitian involves scrubs!
I don’t think it’s the norm to wear scrubs, but all of the ancillary staff at my hospital wears them… not complaining :)
I’m all about that watermelon recently. I can’t get enough. I’m such a Real Housewives fanatic… and Bethenny is totally my favorite. Carole seems like a big wet blanket this season – definitely not as funny as she has been in the past! Hope you have a fabulous weekend!
Carol is lame this season! I used to love her.
What is the Outlander series about? I havenโt heard of it beforeโฆ
My mom is a nutritionist and owned her own nutritional counseling business (she just retired last January and sold her company). It definitely takes commitment and effort to get going and build cliental, but I know it was very rewarding for her to help people who struggle with weight, eating issues, and overall health/wellness. Itโs definitely a career route that will always have business, as nutrition is a central part of peopleโs lives.
That’s neat about your mom! Is it bad that I don’t know what the outlander series is about? It was popular a few years ago and I got the series as a gift.
I think you should definitely pursue your own nutrition consulting business. Even if you never make it a full time thing, I think it’s a great experience to have. I started my own marketing consultancy back in 2011 and I was only out on my own for just over a year before I went back to working for someone else, but it was a great learning experience and ultimately made me better at my job.
