So I just looked back and the last post I did about the things I love was in October! Clearly I am killing it with this blogging thing
I actually do have several things that I have been loving in July that I wanted to share with you today!
SPIbelt
I didnโt add a lot of fitness gear to my collection when I started training for my triathlon, but I did purchase a running belt that has really come in handy over the past few months. When I went to the running store to check them out, they had a lot of great options to choose from (and in fun colors!). I decided to go with the SPIbelt because the waist was adjustable and clipped on, and there was just 1 large pocket. The only things I stick in there are my phone and occasionally a credit card, and the SPIbelt is perfect for that.
I have been using this belt weekly for the past 2 months and here is why I really love it:
- It does not bounce around
- The waist is adjustable so it is the perfect fit
- I sometimes wear it under my shirt right against my skin and it does not irritate my back or stomach
- Very lightweight- I never even remember that Iโm wearing it
I also saw online that they make one with a larger pocket if you need to carry more things.
Takeya ThermoFlask 40oz. Water Bottle
Soโฆ we all know that I am a water bottle junkie. Iโve added a new one to the collection!
B is a big fan of the Takeya water bottles and when we were shopping at Costco we saw that they had a 2-pack of their 40oz. bottles. Iโm not sure if Costco is still stocking them but you can buy them on Amazon.
So initially this water bottle seemed super massive, especially to me because I have small hands. But it is actually the perfect water bottle to grab when I am on the go and need a larger supply of water. It also stays cold for SO long. I can fill it up with ice and water, and the ice will still be there the next day.
We are at the beach right now and this bottle has been perfect for keeping us hydrated out on the beach all day. We stuck this bottle in the cooler with the rest of our drinks and just use it to fill up our cups with water instead of dealing with all of those little plastic water bottles. I also took this water bottle with me on a road trip to Virginia and it was nice to have a big water bottle in the car on the 6 hour drive.
Essie: Peach Daiquiri
This nail polish is always a staple in my summertime nail polish rotation. Itโs the perfect shade of pink and peach, and nice and bright for summer time.
I also think it is flattering on many different skin tones. Peachy polishes normally donโt look great on me but I love this color! I was actually looking back at photos from my dietetic internship in 2014 and I was wearing this color
La Croix
I first discovered La Croix when I was talking with one of my dietitian friends about how much sugar is in mixed drinks. We are cool like that. She told me she had started using La Croix as a mixer and this made me want to try them out. I have been hooked on them ever since!
La Croix drinks have been my jam for a while now in effort to decrease my diet soda intake. I like most of the flavors (um, except Mango) and my fridge is always stocked! Iโve recently started purchasing the tall skinny cans and I love all of the flavor combos. This one, blackberry cucumber, might be my absolute favorite!
The YMCA
I have never been much of a gym person but the YMCAs have completely saved me while attempting to continue triathlon training with a cast on my arm.
I get a pretty steep discount to the local Y near my job, but itโs not always convenient to go there now that I live in Charlotte (an hour away). I am usually rushing home to let Lily out so going after work is not usually an option. I recently found out that you can go to any Y in North Carolina with your local Y membership as long as you are going to your local Y at least 50% of the time. This has been truly great for me because I have 3 different YMCAs within 5 miles of my apartment. I actually have one right across the street and I can walk there. Truthfully, I am a huge fan of any company that promotes health and wellness, and this makes me like the Y even more!

What things are you loving this summer?
Do you use a fitness belt?
Are you a gym person or do you like being outside?
I’m ashamed to say that I’ve never had la croix..!
So I think it’s an acquired taste because it’s not very sweet but I really like most of the flavors
Hi Sam! So glad you are enjoying your Costco ThermoFlask! :)
I also have a SPIBelt and I love it! I got it for free, but if it ever breaks or I lose it, I’ll be buying another one! I mostly just use it to carry my phone, but I literally forget it’s there. I much prefer being outside, but I’ll settle for a gym if that’s the only option available. :)
I also forget that my SPIbelt is on. I was really surprised by this because it’s a belt, but it really doesn’t bounce around at all!
Whaaaat? A water bottle that keeps ice frozen for 24 hours? Sign me up!
I love that nail polish! It’s pinker than the type of peach I’m looking for, but I may have to add it to the collection anyway because it’s so pretty!
I think it’s a fun summer color. Then again, I’m a firm believer that a girl can’t have too many nail polishes ;)
When did you find the water flasks? I know Costco had them back in May at some point and I missed them. Do they have them again?
We probably got them in Mayish :( I haven’t looked for them since. You can get them on Amazon, though.
