In honor of Thanksgiving-Eve here in the US, I wanted to share my thoughts about being Thankful.
You may or may not remember, but I rang in 2016 by having to have surgery to get an ovarian cyst removed. I didn’t share a lot of details at the time but the story was more involved than that. I spent about 2 months wondering whether I had a more serious health issue. I will never forget how worried I was at that time, and how relieved I felt when I found out that I was fine.
That situation really put life into perspective for me and since then, I have made a point to not sweat the small stuff and focus on what’s really important in life. I’ve started journaling every morning and one of the things I write down is everything I’m grateful for. Once you sit down and think about it, there are SO many things I’m thankful for in life.
To my US friends- Happy Thanksgiving to you today! I’m thankful to be able to have this little space to share with you, and I’m so grateful that you stop by! I hope you have a fabulous day spent relaxing and enjoying family, friends and good food!
See you back here on Monday

Happy Thanksgiving! :) I hope you had a wonderful day with your family!
Thank you! I hope you did as well!
I’m happy to hear you are fine. What a huge relief that was I’m sure!! Have a great rest of the weekend!
It’s sad that sometimes it takes though stories to remind us to be grateful for what we have. So glad everything turned out fine.
Thanks!
