Hi Friends! Happy Friday!
I just wanted to share some new photos that you may see popping up on the website sometime soon.
Last week, I had a photo session with Tara Lilly Design and Photography. She used to live in my hometown of Roanoke but has now moved to Charlotte! I had been wanting to get some more professional photos taken for my website for a while, and I thought to ask her after she shot a friend’s wedding recently.
I talked to Tara for a bit about G & G prior to the session and what I hoped my photos would say about my business and nutrition counseling. I wanted my pictures to look warm and welcoming. I wanted someone to look at me and feel like they could talk to me without feeling intimidated, embarrassed or ashamed. This was especially important to me now that I’m primarily working with women.
I purposely wore this pink shirt because I love the color. It is NOT the most flattering shirt in some photos. But I wore it on purpose… because life is about being happy and healthy, not looking skinny.
I was really happy with how the photos turned out. The one below is extra special to me because Lily usually doesn’t cooperate for a picture of us together. She happened to lay right under my bar stool as we were taking pictures, and I’m so happy to have this one of my old girl!
If anyone is looking for a photographer in the Charlotte area, I would highly recommend Tara. She was awesome and made me feel really comfortable. I’m looking forward to getting these photos up on the site soon!!
I hope you guys have a great weekend
I love all the pics! You definitely look warm, friendly but also professional. The last one of you and Lily is adorable! B needs to frame it and put it on his desk at work :) Or blow it up to poster size and hang it on his wall at work. That’s a good idea too!
Thanks, Kristina! I was thinking he might like a life-size replica of me and Lily in his office :)
These are all so good-I definitely think what you captured was exactly what you were going for, they all look very welcoming!
