Dione has previously worked in long-term care, corporate wellness, and biomedical research at the world’s largest academically-based nutrition research institution, Pennington Biomedical Research Center (PBRC).
After being diagnosed with prediabetes, insulin resistance, and PCOS, Dione noticed that the traditional approach (focusing on weight loss and eating very low carbs) to lowering blood sugar didn’t work for her (or for most people). She decided to ditch the diets and focus on a more sustainable way of eating which focuses on pairing carbs with protein and fat for optimal blood sugar balance.
Dione loves helping people learn how to lower their blood sugar/A1c while eating foods they love. Through the pairing method, she has taught clients and followers alike how to lower their blood sugar and A1c below the prediabetic range without dieting. Helping people find the balance between eating for “health” and eating for “satisfaction” is her passion.
