I’ll never tell you to stop eating sweets with P I’ll never tell you to stop eating sweets with PCOS… even if you have insulin resistance, prediabetes, or type 2 diabetes!
Have you heard you should cut out all sweets with PCOS? Or even worse, cut out a majority of the carbs you love, like white bread and pasta?
Well here’s why this may actually be hurting your PCOS management in the long run.
Health is not just about physical health and absence of disease. It’s also about your emotional health, your mental health, and being able to show up and enjoy life.
AND we typically don’t see the “cut out XYZ food” strategy work long-term with PCOS management. It usually leads to yo-yo eating habits, binge eating, and feeling like crap about yourself.
Here’s what you should do instead this holiday season…
Make sure you’re eating regularly throughout the day, including breakfast!
When it comes to enjoy desserts, you always have the option of pairing them with protein and fat.
It’s also completely okay to enjoy a sweet and just move on.

Have you ever experienced these symptoms before? 👇🏼⁣
Reactive hypoglycemia is a big issue with insulin resistance and PCOS but something that isn't talked about a lot.
It's actually a major concern for a lot of my clients, and came up quite a bit in my Balanced Blood Sugar for PCOS Course this fall.
You may have tried to eat low carb or cut out carbs to manage these symptoms only to find yourself bingeing on carbs and having to start over. 💔
I have some great news. 🎉
You can enjoy carbs and still manage insulin resistance! The key is to eat regularly and balance blood sugar. ❤️
The Balanced Blood Sugar with PCOS Course will reopen for enrollment in January. 🎉

So often, we're made to feel like WE are the problem if we can't stick to a diet.
We don't have enough willpower. 🙄 We don't care about our health enough. 🙄🙄
Diets have an extremely high failure rate. Dieting is linked to WORSENING health outcomes like worsening insulin resistance, heart health, and inflammation.
You're not the problem. Dieting is. ❤️
Super excited to be bringing you non-diet resources in January...

Sometimes the words "joyful movement" float around in the intuitive eating space. And while I think it's wonderful if movement brings you joy, that's not the case for many people.
Sometimes movement is neutral feeling.
Sometimes it's just tolerable.
Feeling like you have to love or even just enjoy movement when you don't may actually be a deterrent to being consistent with some sort of routine.
Instead of trying to find joyful movement, I recommend focusing on what's accessible and sticking with an internal reason why movement is important to you. ❤️
