Now that inpatient clinical is behind me, I’m ready to move on to my food service management rotation. 7 weeks: here we go!
My experience is a little unique because I’m doing my internship where I work as a school nutritionist. I am not technically an employee there right now and I am not getting paid for my internship. I finished the menus last year before I left for my orientation and all of my other duties have been redistributed. I will be working on completely new tasks when I start tomorrow.
I have honestly not looked at *any* of my FSSM stuff yet because I was so busy finishing my IPC stuff. I am planning on looking at it all tomorrow and coming up with a game plan for the next 7 weeks :)
These are my goals for this rotation:
- Complete ALL of my assignments & projects before my last week. This is a lesson I learned the hard way from my clinical rotation. It really made the last week more stressful than it needed to be.
- Continue to get plenty of sleep. This is something I made a priority when I was doing IPC and I realized how much more fresh I felt.
- Take more time for myself… don’t get lost in the rotation!
Hope ya’ll have a great week!
