Today I finished my 1st week of my outpatient clinical rotation. This rotation is 3 weeks total so I have 2 weeks left!
I have really been looking forward to this rotation because my grad degree is in Health Education, which is in the same realm of outpatient dietetics. So far I have really enjoyed it! Something that has been especially cool is that I am seeing some of the same patients that I saw in my inpatient rotation (bc I’m at the same hospital). It’s nice to have that follow-up and to see how they’re doing.
I feel like outpatient clinical is really where you can help people the most. Patients seem to be more motivated to make changes compared to inpatient. You also have the time to get to know what is going on in the patients’ lives, which is very valuable if you want to help someone!
I’m really looking forward to the next 2 weeks.
Have a great weekend!
